California Faith for Equality

CFE’s mission is to educate, support and mobilize California's communities of faith to promote equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and to safeguard religious freedom. CFE is a statewide network of congregations, faith-based organizations, and faith leaders committed to equality. Since its inception in 2005, CFE has become the premier interfaith network nationally and statewide and a consistent and influential leader in public education campaigns and efforts across the diverse population of California. CFE builds upon existing groups and efforts, serving as the “hub” that fosters collaborations and sharing of resources, fills vacuums within regions and demographic groups, supplies the best research relating to faith and LGBT people, and serves as the bridge between faith communities and secular LGBT organizations locally and nationally.
