Goodforkids is a not-for-profit organization created by a group of educators in suburban New York for the benefit of children in LaCarpio, a Nicaraguan refugee camp located just outside of San Jose, Costa Rica. Each year, we sponsor a summer service trip offering onsite camp programs for children and teens. Through extensive fundraising, GFK has built a Refuge and Counseling Center for Teenage Girls and a Vocational Center for Teenage Boys and now seeks funding to expand educational programs for LaCarpio's at-risk youth.
