AmeriCorps*VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) is a national service program started in 1965 as a domestic response to the Peace Corps. AmeriCorps*VISTA Members serve for one year in low-income communities working to meet needs in areas of education, public safety, the environment, public health, youth, literacy and other human needs.
