The Community Charter School Collaborative is a shared services alliance among community-based charter schools. While networks of charter schools exist that share services, our model provides an opportunity to sustain the diversity and innovation that is the hallmark of the charter school movement. We believe that schools can be more effective when resources (people, money, and time) are allocated in ways that allow curriculum and instruction to be the primary focus of the school leader. Allocating resources to a shared services alliance gains economies of scale but keeps the benefits of small sites. It frees up people, money, and time, ensuring that the more people, time and money can be dedicated to sustaining student achievement.
