NEVADA CANCER COALITION

We're a nonprofit that fosters strategic alliances among partners throughout Nevada including state and local government; health medical and business leaders; researchers and scientists; cancer survivors and caregivers; community advocates, and YOU!

• Our online cancer resource directory is visited nearly 10,000 times each year and connects Nevadans with help they need.
• 22,000 students, teachers, administrators, and staff have learned about sun safety and how to prevent skin cancer with our Sun Smart Schools program.
• We work with coalition members to pass local policies and statewide laws that promote cancer prevention, increase access to early detection and cancer treatment, and improve research and data collection.
• We've learned from cancer survivors from across Nevada so we can educate healthcare providers and the community how to better support those diagnosed with cancer.
• Annually, we educate more than 500 healthcare professionals and educators through conferences, webinars, and on-demand learning opportunities.
• We've helped community health clinics across the state improve their cancer early detection programs, with one clinic more than doubling the percent of their patients that are up to date with colon cancer screening.
