About Us
WAGS Shelter is a foster-based rescue located in Chicago, IL. Our goal is to work with larger shelters and help them place dogs that are harder to adopt. Because we are a small organization, we are able to give the dogs the one-on-one attention they need. These needs can be emotional, behavioral, or medical. We pride ourselves on working as a team with these shelters to help them in their mission.
Our Mission
Where Animals Get Saved (WAGS) is a no-kill shelter that rescues and adopts out the dogs who are overlooked at other shelters, kennel stressed, and slated for euthanasia. We also seek to educate and raise community awareness regarding the inhumane treatment of abused animals and the need to adopt them.
We strive to provide an identity for our dogs, and our logo reflects this. The tag signifies both the dog's new identity as a part of the WAGS family as well as the ownership and companionship we hope to find for them in the future.
