Community Harvest Project engages and educates volunteers to grow fruits and vegetables for local hunger relief.
We are a regional leader in both addressing local food insecurity and in volunteer engagement. We are now the largest community farm in Central Massachusetts, growing and donating over 2.7 million pounds of produce to hunger relief over the past ten years. Since 2021, we have routinely received certification as an ALIVE Service Enterprise, joining the top 15% of nonprofits nationwide in volunteer management and organizational performance. In 2025, we hosted 6,432 volunteers who grew 285,142 pounds (1,600,311 servings) of produce for donation to 60,800+ unduplicated food-insecure individuals in Central and Eastern Massachusetts through 26 community partners. We also engaged 8 interns and trained 31 Volunteer Team Leaders.
