    Acerca de

For 100 years, the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) has given hope and new life to persons fleeing from war, violence, and persecution in their home country. A catalyst for refugee rights and advocacy, USCRI has changed the lives of thousands of newly arriving Americans and continues to do so through various program support.

USCRI Des Moines supports refugees beginning their new lives in the U.S. by providing immediate needs, core services, and community orientations. Through collaborative support between USCRI and local businesses, organizations, and individuals, each newly arriving American is given tools and resources to successfully adapt to life in the Greater Des Moines area.

Community involvement is an essential piece of refugee resettlement. You can help refugees and immigrants transition to a new life in the Greater Des Moines area by volunteering, donating money or goods, or by partnering with USCRI to serve refugees and immigrants.
