Home And Hope

Home & Hope is a non-profit organization which coordinates an interfaith network of more than thirty religious congregations and their volunteers.  We provide episodically homeless families with overnight shelter, three daily meals, case management, mentorship, job search assistance, housing search and placement, support, and more. Each week a different congregation hosts the guest families overnight. During the day, guests go to work, school, or to the Home & Hope Burlingame day center where they receive case management services and referrals to other resources in the county. We serve a subset of the homeless population:  families with children who can be safely hosted by congregations and their volunteers.

Home & Hope is funded from a variety of sources including but not limited to foundation and government grants, our congregations, personal gifts and community fundraising events. The annual budget is approximately $250,000. Our member congregations are located primarily in San Mateo County. We have been helping the homeless since 2001.
