Unicef Emergency Unit

The Emergency Unit is part of the Talent Management Section of the Department of Human Resources. The Unit provides operational support, sourcing and nominating of emergency personnel. The team also monitors emergency deployments for larger emergencies to track UNICEF’s performance. We also work closely with many technical Sections and Divisions for capacity building; we vanguard and drive the development of global emergency response related to HR, such as the improvement of internal redeployments for emergencies, management of external talent (e.g. regional roster management), Standby Arrangements with external partners, Staff Mobilization Plans as part of the Early Warning Early Action system.
