LAW Advocates

LAW Advocates is the volunteer lawyer program for Whatcom County. We fulfill our mission, to provide access to justice to low-income Whatcom County residents, with the support of more than 200 volunteer attorneys. Our volunteers provide civil legal assistance to low-income individuals and families in our community that would quite literally have nowhere else to turn. Among our clients are parents desperately seeking to protect their children from family violence, people who are homeless and disabled seeking the state and federal benefits to which they are entitled; low-income renters living in hazardous conditions; and seniors looking for help preparing simple wills and medical directives to give them piece of mind.
