Voices of the Wounded Foundation

The purpose of the Voices of the Wounded Foundation is to provide educational opportunities and resources through the award of grants and scholarships for current and former combat-wounded United States armed forces service members and/or their immediate family members.

The Voices of the Wounded Foundation is organized for charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation operates primarily to provide educational opportunities and resources to any surviving Purple Heart Medal recipient (and any surviving dependent - husband, wife, biological/adopted/stepchild or children - of a Purple Heart Medal recipient); who is a current or former member of the United States Armed Forces and who suffered wounds in combat or combat-related action, and received through legitimate and proper award, the Purple Heart Medal.
