Lumni USA is a cutting‐edge, social‐mission start‐up introducing an innovative model for financing higher education in the US. Lumni finances college for low-income and underserved students using a new, more flexible mechanism that doesn’t rely on traditional debt. Instead, students repay their obligation as a fixed percentage of their income for the 10 years after they graduate. This eliminates the threat of excessive debt payments that so many students fear. Lumni’s work focuses on improving college access for those communities most in need. Lumni USA works closely with its sister operations in Chile, Colombia, and Mexico.
