Many children in our community have exposure to a myriad of activities like soccer, dance, music and Scouts, but a substantial number of children in Albemarle County are simply left out and are at risk for becoming isolated and disenfranchised. GraceWorks bridges the gap between those with resources and those without by allowing otherwise marginalized children opportunities to participate in activities, where they can discover their talent and explore their world in the same way many other children do. We are a registered 501(c)(3) charity. We serve elementary school children in Albemarle County. Family support workers or guidance counselors identify these children to ensure they will benefit from this Program. Day to day we run out of a working farm where the kids participate in maintaining the farm as well as learning new skills such as fishing, pottery, archery, and cooking. In addition we provide a well balanced, family style meal where we encourage manners and daily chores.
