Facts:

•        Every year, over 1.2 million students drop out of high school in the United States alone. That's a student every 26 seconds – or 7,000 a day.

•        A high school dropout will earn $200,000 less than a high school graduate over his lifetime. 

•        A high school dropout will earn almost 1,000,000 dollars less than a college graduate.

•        The U.S., which used to have some of the highest graduation rates of any developed country, now ranks 22nd out of 27 developed countries

•        90% of people who have been mentored, want to mentor others...it's a rippling effect and has a huge impact in our community....let's make it happen.

Youths Mentoring Youths is an organization that wants to tackle the problems and issues listed above.  We can make a big difference in our youths’ life if we can lend them a hand with a good vision.

Vision 

The vision of YMY (Youths Mentoring Youths) is to align and equip talented and motivated young youths; with positive, strong, self driven successful young adults in their communities. The goal of this program is for our young children to creatively utilize and benefit from the human capital that is available in their own communities. 

We strongly believe that this can be achieved by establishing a strong working relationship with their young successful mentors. 

Mission 

YMY will try to achieve this goal by helping our young mentees, first to identify what they want to do in their life; what they might need to know to achieve their dreams; and where they could find the resources they need to fulfill their individual goals. 

YMY has been doing exactly that for the last 4 years since May 2012, date of its inseption.  However, since the organization is run by two volunteers, it does not have an income to pay for a law office to help with its bylaws.  We are seeking for a volunteer who can help us finalize the bylaws so we can help pay for expenses that is required to run such organization.  Since May 2012, YMY has been run by donation from the founders and their friends.
