Spark Creativity

Our mission at Spark is to serve as a bridge to ensure that arts education is made accessible and available to youth as a catalyst for their personal and professional growth.

Spark! Creativity is a nonprofit arts education organization dedicated to making arts education accessible and available to youth as a catalyst for personal and professional growth. Based in Edmonds, Washington, we partner with public schools, professional teaching artists, and community organizations to bring meaningful creative learning opportunities to young people throughout South Snohomish County.

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to explore their creativity, regardless of family income, ability, background, or access to resources. Our programs prioritize underserved communities, particularly Title I schools, where arts education opportunities may be limited.

Through visual arts, ceramics, instrumental music coaching, after-school art clubs, and our Youth Arts Council, we help students develop confidence, self-expression, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills. During the 2025–2026 school year, we reached approximately 1,000 students, with a goal of doubling our impact in 2026–2027.

Our work is guided by five core values: access, expression, empathy, experimentation, and equity. We believe creativity strengthens individuals and communities, and that young people should have a voice in shaping the arts experiences available to them.

Volunteers are an important part of bringing our mission to life. Whether supporting community art events, assisting with creative activities, helping with outreach and fundraising, or contributing professional skills, volunteers help us expand opportunities for young people to discover, create, and thrive.

We welcome individuals who believe in the transformative power of the arts and want to make a meaningful difference in their community.
