Women's Studies is an interdisciplinary academic field that analyzes and investigates gender's functions in society and women's roles, issues, history, and contributions to humankind. The mission of the Friends of Women's Studies is to support the University of Houston Women's Studies Program’s campus and community activities through financial and volunteer efforts.
