Brick City Alumni Group

Brick City Alumni Group is a nonprofit that brings talented and accomplished Newark natives back to mentor students in college and career preparation. We do this to accomplish two things:

• Prepare students in Newark to succeed during and after college and;
• Revitalize the city by creating community amongst homegrown talent.

Brick City Alumni Group was founded in 2009 by four college students from Newark, NJ to aid in the revitalization of the city by connecting people to resources, each other, and the city at large. After observing the dynamics of thriving communities, the founders realized that one of the ways to create a similar dynamic in an urban city was to develop a stronger sense of community among its citizens.
