United Cultures

United Cultures is the body of the cultures of the world. It works for the more than 25,321 cultures and subcultures living in 269 countries and regions, with the purpose of becoming an intergovernmental cultural body by 2030.

United Cultures is a Foundation constituted in Amsterdam in 2014 (KvK 59854952), with offices in Paris, Berlin and Marrakech. As the United Nations is the body of the nations, United Cultures is the body of their cultures. It will be governed by the World Council of United Cultures, in which each country and region holds one seat through its Minister of Culture. United Cultures is registered in the UN Civil Society System and is preparing its application for consultative status with the Economic and Social Council. Its Madrid Declaration of United Cultures will be signed at the First World Cultural Congress in Madrid. We work with volunteers worldwide, online, in governance, diplomacy, translation, research, technology and events.
