    About United Cultures

United Cultures unites cultures across 269 countries and regions. Registered as a Foundation in the Netherlands (KvK 59854952), with its headquarters in Paris, it is working toward becoming an intergovernmental body by 2030. United Cultures connects cultures, develops their ideas and produces their projects and products. Its next milestone is the First World Cultural Congress in Madrid and the adoption of the Madrid Declaration.

    The Role

The Board Member for Funding sets up and leads the Funding Team of United Cultures. The team starts working right away and brings in support through six channels: sponsoring, investments, crowdfunding, charity, donations and UC Coin.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Build the funding organisation: structure, targets, planning and reporting

    • Recruit, train and lead the Funding Volunteers

    • Set up the tools: contact lists, call scripts, proposals and campaign pages

    • Secure sponsors for the First World Cultural Congress in Madrid

    • Coordinate the six funding channels and report to the Board

    • Work closely with the Treasurer

    Candidate Profile

    • Senior experience as fundraising director, development director, business development director or CEO

    • A strong international network in business, philanthropy or finance

    • Experience leading sales or fundraising teams

    • Fluent English; other languages are an advantage

    The Funding Team

Funding Volunteers choose one or more channels:

    • Sponsoring: contact companies and brands to sponsor United Cultures events, starting with Madrid

    • Investments: contact investors for United Cultures projects through United Cultures Investments

    • Crowdfunding: set up and run campaigns for United Cultures projects on https://unitedcultures.org/crowdfunding/

    • Charity: build relations with philanthropists, family foundations and charity funds

    • Donations: call and email people and companies to support United Cultures with donations

    • UC Coin: build the community and partners for UC Coin, the participation and governance instrument of United Cultures, and the Chain Exchange

Profile for Funding Volunteers: experience in sales, fundraising, business development, investor relations or community building, and strong communication skills by phone and email.

Volunteers inform and connect. They do not sell investments or UC Coin to the public.
