To champion the connection of needed community resources with schools to help young people successfully learn, stay in school and prepare for life.

Communities In Schools of North Carolina, Inc., part of the nation's largest stay-in-school network, was established in 1989 to assist communities replicating the CIS process of coordinated service delivery, to support local CIS organizations across the state and to advocate for children, youth and their families.
