Mooseheart Child City and School, Inc.

The Mission of Mooseheart Child City and School, Inc. is to strive for excellence in three areas: 1) to provide a home-like setting for residents; 2) to offer education for residents that will prepare each individual for college or vocational advancement; 3) to continue religious training similar to that received by each child prior to their admission to Mooseheart. Admission to Mooseheart is determined on a need basis; or academic and social criteria qualification basis, and is made pursuant to prescribed clearly identified guidelines. Mooseheart strives to provide opportunities for children in its custodial care; to achieve and excel in education, sports and social skills.

Residents achieving at least a 2.0 GPA are eligible for a college scholarship and/or subsidized vocational education. Mooseheart is committed to excellence in the custodial residential care of children and provides residents with a modern residential home environment and a fully certified staff of child-care managers, Family-Teachers, counselors and a fully accredited school system consisting of a superb teaching staff and a student-teacher ratio conductive with learning excellence.

The highest degree of moral and ethical values are the cornerstone of the residential institution that has been home to more than 10,000 disadvantaged children since opening its doors in 1913. Mooseheart is a charitable, non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, funded primarily by members of our Order.
