SAVE THE DOGS AND OTHER ANIMALS US

Rescue, treatment, and adoption. Save the Dogs and Other Animals rescues dogs and cats in rural, impoverished areas of Romania who suffer from abuse, abandonment, illness, and trauma. The organization provides veterinary treatment and high-quality care an an excellent modern animal shelter and veterinary clinic, returns the animals to their home areas when appropriate, and adopts them to permanent homes when this is the best option. The organization typically cares for around 200 dogs and 50 cats at a time.

Equine care. Save the Dogs rescues horses and donkeys from cruelty and neglect, and provides life-long care in large enclosures. The organization cares for around 60 donkeys and 20 horses.

Ukraine. Save the Dogs has sent more than 400 tons of dog and cat food and supplies to Ukraine, where partners distribute it to thousands of abandoned pets as well as animals in shelters. Furthermore, the organization donated thousands of supplies to Ukrainian refugees with pets at the Ukraine-Romania border.

Dog and cat population management. In both Romania and Southern Italy, Save the Dogs spays and neuters thousands of cats and dogs, to prevent the births of unwanted animals who are likely to live short lives of suffering on the streets, and to sustainably control their populations.

Dogs of the homeless. Save the Dogs helps the pets of people living on the streets in Milan by providing free spay/neuter services, veterinary treatment, supplies, and other support.
