Chabad of the Lehigh Valley

Rabbi Yaakov and Devorah Halperin are the emissaries that established Chabad Lubavitch of the Lehigh Valley in Allentown, Pennsylvania in 2001. The focus of Chabad of the Lehigh Valley is on the spiritual and social needs of the area’s more than 20,000 Jews. The organization is dedicated to the furtherance of Jewish education at all levels in the hope that it will inspire exploration of ones heritage and strengthen overall Jewish connection. Acceptance of every Jew regardless of background or prior experience is the hallmark of Chabad's philosophy.

Programming at Chabad of the Lehigh Valley is as rich as it is diverse. There are religious services every Saturday morning and services on holidays. In addition, Chabad of the Lehigh Valley runs a preschool Monday through Friday for children ages 1-4 and a Hebrew school class twice per week for school age children. There are also adult learning classes and a women’s circle. On any given day, people from all corners of the Lehigh Valley spanning various age groups and backgrounds enter the building for programming, community, and worship. There are no membership fees and no one is ever turned away.
