Thosps & Saak

Thosps is a nonprofit dedicated to helping single parents and families overcome struggles related to domestic violence, sexual assault, and other challenges. We provide advocacy, resources, and community support to empower families toward stability and healing.

THOSPS & SAAK was founded by Sibhon, a single mother and survivor of domestic violence, to ensure that no parent or child in crisis has to face hardship alone. Our name stands for "To Help Overcome Single Parent Struggles, Domestic Violence and Sexually Assault Against children, because those are the lives we serve with compassion, dignity, and purpose.

We are a trauma-informed nonprofit organization based in St. Petersburg, Florida, offering:

• Emergency and transitional housing assistance
• Support groups for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault
• Financial aid for gas, utilities, diapers, and hotel stays
• Career and life-skills coaching (GED, job readiness, credit repair)
• Emotional and case management support

Our mission is deeply personal. We meet people where they are — often at the lowest points in their lives — and walk with them until they’re ready to rise. Whether we’re placing a mom in a safe hotel, helping a teen access counseling, or empowering someone to earn their GED, we do it with love, patience, and lived experience.

We are actively growing and building a community of volunteers, mentors, and partners who believe healing is possible and that everyone deserves a chance to rebuild their life.
