Ru'Day's Helping Hands

Ru’Day’s Helping Hands is a tax-exempt not-for-profit food and resource service organization that serves the homeless and the very low income in all of Montgomery County, MD and Washington, DC, (with a focus on wards 7&8). The goal of Ru'Day's Helping Hands' is to alleviate hunger in these targeted areas by soliciting, collecting, and packaging food for direct distribution to those in need by going to the identified areas with the highest rates of homelessness and low income. We also work alongside a network of service agencies that serve our target population groups to assist with obtaining medical benefits, social services, housing, and re-entry programs. Our services include: program , gainful employment, referrals and sponsorship, mobile food distribution, bagged groceries programs and emergency food programs. Ru'Day's Helping Hands is funded by the founders of the organization and public donations.
