With Wings and a Halo – R.E.A.C.H. a Child is a nonprofit organization. Our mission is simply to, “put a smile on the face of a child in need.” We do this through the magic of reading and our initiative, R.E.A.C.H. a Child, which stands for Reading Enjoyment Affects Childhood Happiness. We provide B.A.C.K. (Be a Cheerful Kid) Packets filled with 10-12 children’s books of varying levels to police and fire departments to distribute to children at the scene of a crisis or emergency. We also provide K.I.T.S. (Kindness in Traumatic Situations) for Kids, which are backpacks filled with books, activities, snacks, first aid supplies, and toiletries to be provided to children when they are displaced from their home.
