Hazards of environmental chemical Policies and legal framework to control and prevent environmental public health risks Management of environmental public health risks

The graduates will be prepared for positions in government and other regulatory agencies, business enterprises, and other institutions including universities, medical schools and non-government organizations.

The emphasis will be on the scientific basis of adverse human health effects from environmental risks caused by physical, chemical, biological, psychosocial and other factors and on the legal and regulatory framework for the reduction and management of environmental risks to human health

The Columbia Center for Children's Environmental Health (CCCEH) was founded in 1998 when it was awarded the distinct status of becoming one of eight "Centers for Children's Environmental Health and Disease Prevention," established jointly by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and the Environmental Protection Agency. In 2001, NIEHS granted awards to four more national Children's Centers for Environmental Health.
