Young Adults with Special Abilities, Inc.

YASA is a multi-sited, personal growth & training center for developmentally challenged adults in the borough of Queens, New York. We are a nonprofit, charitable organization which uses an innovative thrift store/cafe business/ training model where individuals in our program have a unique opportunity to serve real customers in a community integrated setting under the guidance of direct care professionals. Through individualized programs, developed in consultation with each person and their advocates, our individuals are able to hone their socialization, communication, academic, and independent living skills. In addition, YASA staff personally transport our program individuals in safe and comfortable vans, to and from their respective homes and our Astoria / Jamaica sites.
