Community Medical Center Long Beach

Community Hospital Long Beach has served the local and surrounding communities since 1924. Our beautiful Spanish style building is on the list of Long Beach Historic Landmarks and is located adjacent to the Traffic Circle in East Long Beach.

Community Hospital Long Beach, since 2011 a campus of MemorialCare Health System, is known as the "kind, gentle and nurturing" hospital and our staff members are one of CHLB’s greatest assets offering compassionate care to patients. The alliance with MemorialCare Health System brings new technology and equipment that will enhance CHLB’s ability to treat patients more efficiently and effectively. The alliance also serves to attract top-tier medical talent to our community.

Community Hospital Long Beach has an active and well-regarded volunteer program. Volunteers work side-by side with staff and perform a variety of duties. Hours and assignments are flexible. In addition, new programs are emerging and/or being developed where volunteer services are and will be needed.
