Episcopal Mission Center

The Episcopal Mission Center is a social justice and retreat program for youth and young adults located in North Philadelphia. We seek to instill missional living in youth and young adults through an authentic experience of urban ministry. ​

We do this by partnering with service organizations throughout the city and providing programming that centers on relationships, service, learning, and fellowship. Each summer, the EMC holds six, one-week sessions where youth from across the country come to live missionally with us. We believe in education and advocacy, so during these sessions we create space for youth to dig into the social justice issues they're encountering, how that issue interacts with their faith, and some long-term, on-the-ground ways they can continue to engage this issue when they return home. The Episcopal Mission Center is guided by the Anglican 5 Marks of Mission while also deeply valuing our ecumenical and interfaith partnerships.
