Dominican Volunteers USA recruits, places, trains, and supports approximately 10-20 men and women each year to serve 11-12 months in distressed communities across the United States. As a faith-based program of the Catholic Church, volunteers minister the fields of education, healthcare, workforce development, prison ministry, immigration, environmental education, homeless services, family services, and more. Volunteers live in prayerful communities to follow the example of St. Dominic de Guzman, who as a Spanish priest founded the Dominican Order 800 years ago.
