Farmworker Health Program, Burke, Cleveland, Lincoln counties, NC

The Farmworker Health Program envisions access to quality, affordable, community-based, culturally appropriate, and comprehensive healthcare services for migrant and seasonal farmworkers, poultry workers and their families in Burke, Cleveland, and Lincoln counties in NC, contributing to their improved health and quality of life.

We conduct outreach to identify farmworkers and poultry workers and their health needs. We provide health education, interpretation, transportation, case management and patient advocacy as well as provide or link patients with primary care and dental health services. We also make patient referrals to specialty and mental health care and provide appropriate follow-ups. All services are provided to our clients at low-cost, or free of charge. We work under our host agency the Good Samaritan Clinic and with the support of the North Carolina Office of Rural Health and Community Care.
