WHY Community Development

Our mission is to attend to the underserved youth population of Englewood in Chicago, IL and its surrounding communities by nourishing their minds, bodies and spirits. We attain this goal by supporting a community-created center hosting specific programs in athletics, literacy, financial education and the arts. By offering a positive alternative to idle time and unsupervised activities in an environment invested in by its own residents, WHY will help restore a sense of community pride, true hope for bright futures, and a solid, permanent place to learn, share and succeed.
