Michigan Future Schools

Michigan Future Schools is a program of Michigan Future, Inc., a non- partisan think tank based in Ann Arbor. Our missionis to create new small high schools at scale over eight years to prepare thousands of additional Detroit students to enroll and succeed in college. We have committed to our funders that at least 85% of each school’s students will graduate from high school, 85% of graduates will enroll in college, and 85% of enrollees will earn a college degree. With all nine of our schools open by August 2014, our efforts will focus on supporting schools in designing and executing their visions to help ensure that their students graduate with both the academic and personal skill-sets necessary to succeed in college and beyond. Part of this work will be in helping schools design themselves as 9 – 16 schools – ensuring that their graduates are supported through college.
