Foundation Nepal is an Irish registered charity that helps the most vulnerable in highly disadvantaged Nepali communities to work their way out of poverty. We operate in remote Himalayan villages in the most impoverished part of Nepal, one of the poorest countries in the world . Chronic food shortages are common, with 65% of children under five suffering from malnutrition, and in some communities, only 70% of children living to see their fifth birthday . We work mainly with women and low caste families, enabling them to help themselves through food production, micro-finance and micro-business opportunities. Foundation Nepal also provides healthcare and educational support where it is needed most. Read more www.foundation-nepal.org We are currently recruiting volunteers to help us develop our educational programmes in remote Himalayan villages in the most impoverished part of Nepal. Foundation Nepal is looking for motivated individuals who can work as part of a team to teach English to Nepali teachers and help us to build a community / volunteer centre. No previous experience is necessary as all training will be provided. We have a dedicated team of staff to support you with fundraising and to answer any questions you may have.
