The Preble Street Maine Hunger Initiative (MHI) works to address both immediate food needs, through support of food pantries, as well as developing and advocating for long-term solutions to end hunger through community organizing and advocacy. We..-Support Cumberland County food pantries through best practices-Increase access to and participation in USDA federal nutrition programs such as Summer Meals, SNAP and School Breakfast-Help raise public awareness concerning hunger and its viable solutions
