The Center for Popular Economics is a collective of political economists whose mission is to:
- Teach economic literacy to activists and educators who are organizing for progressive social change;
- Provide tools and resources for people to develop their own economic analyses, without relying on "experts;"
- Foster opportunities for economists to engage with and learn from activists;
- Create and communicate economic theories that challenge systems of oppression based on class, race, gender and nation.
