The Jackson Walnut Park Educational Collaborative (JWP Schools) includes Walnut Park Montessori School (WPMS) and the Jackson School (JS) and is governed by a Board of Trustees. Suzanne Perry, MFA, is President. The Schools were founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston 45 years ago.
Walnut Park, accredited by the American Montessori Socieity, enrolls 111 children 2.9 to 6 years in its 3 year program. In September of 2014, it will enroll a small number of toddlers in a new program for children at 1.8 years. Nancy Fish, MA, is Head of School.
Jackson School is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and enrolls 245 students in grades K-6. Its students matriculate at the area's most competitive independent and public schools.. Enrollment is open to students of any race, creed, color or ethnic origin. Susan Niden, MA is principal.
