As a community-based organisation, the HHCO aims primarily at identifying and screening potential parents willing to foster abandoned/orphaned infected/affected HIV babies/children aged 0-6.
Once this has been done, the parents are trained and they become "homes of hope". The children are visited regularly both at home and at school and given the necessary support.
The project is a subcommittee of the Millennium Home of Hope (see entry).
