Friends of the Children is a pioneering model for mentoring, based on the most promising research available.
Friends provides a professional, salaried mentor for youth from troubled homes, starting in kindergarten or first grade, and commits to them for 12 years, no matter what.
The Friends program has made a real and measurable difference for our communities’ most vulnerable youth for over 17 years.
