Universal Support Systems Implementers

Universal Support Systems Implementers (USSI) is a non-governmental and nonprofit organization based in Ghana focusing on the development and implementation of Information systems in health, education, agriculture, and finance in resource limited settings. The idea for USSI grew out of the Computing for Good (C4G) open source Laboratory Information System project, funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Association for Public Health Laboratories (APHL) and awarded to the Global Health Systems Solutions in 2010.

 

The NGO was started in 2013 and has since grown rapidly to provide technical support for projects in several African countries, including Ethiopia, Cameroon, Kenya and Malawi. USSI’s Head Office is based in Odorkor, Accra, Ghana.

Our mission is to improve information systems in health, education, agriculture, and finance by developing rebust and sustainable information systems, growing partnerships and building local capacity, with a focus on resource limited settings.
