Urban Peace Movement

Urban Peace Movement (UPM) seeks to transform the lives of young adults 16-25, to become hopeful, courageous stewards of their lives and their communities by providing coaching, life-changing curriculum, and social skills development. Our work is also geared towards decreasing violence through events aimed at shifting the culture and mindset of violence and fear towards hope and empowerment. We are currently engaging Oakland youth in creating a transformational leadership academy that puts young people in touch with their own power to make changes in their lives and communities.
