Yggdrasil Land Foundation

Yggdrasil Land Foundation is a national agricultural land foundation that was incorporated in 2000 to receive and acquire land and agricultural community-related properties. Yggdrasil also is chartered to hold conservation easements to steward and protect biodynamic and organic agricultural lands in perpetuity. It currently owns and stewards eleven farms and other properties in California, New Hampshire, and Wisconsin. Yggdrasil is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and has been led by an all volunteer board since its inception.

Yggdrasil represents a new form of land and real asset stewardship, the result of three organizations working in association to advance the viability of biodynamic, organic, and sustainable farming. Yggdrasil was incorporated as a ‘supporting organization’ to support the work of three distinct non-profit organizations: Biodynamic Association, Michael Fields Agricultural Institute, and RSF Social Finance.
