MOORISH ECONOMIC CULTURAL REPRESENTATIVE ORGANIZATION

The mission of the Moorish Economic Cultural Representative Organization (MECRO) is to advance cultural preservation, education, economic empowerment, civic engagement, and community development through research, public service, and collaborative initiatives.

Guided by the principles of Love, Truth, Peace, Freedom, and Justice, MECRO works to strengthen communities, preserve historical knowledge, encourage responsible citizenship, and promote opportunities for present and future generations.

MECRO is a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization dedicated to transforming cultural knowledge, civic participation, and community collaboration into meaningful public initiatives.

Our Philadelphia Chapter is currently advancing the conceptual development of the MECRO Cultural Arts Civic Research Park, envisioned as a community destination integrating historical research, educational resources, performing arts, environmental stewardship, urban agriculture, and public gathering spaces.

Through partnerships, volunteer engagement, and institutional collaboration, MECRO seeks to develop sustainable programs and facilities that serve communities across generations.
