Prevention through education is our motto and our focus on
establishing schools in areas that are
too far from the city to have access to education.
In
order to implement a focused, consistent and supportive approach to teaching,
Hands Across the World deploys trained volunteers who commit to stay in the
project medium to long term. These volunteers provide a police
clearance and stay in the volunteer accommodation free of
charge to work hand in hand with the
indigenous people and the team of Hands Across the World. Hands Across the
World provides materials, buildings, skills, resources, volunteers,
sponsorships, funds and any support needed and wanted to make a project
successful and sustainable.
What
is needed is determined by a community survey which is conducted before every
project starts as well as through a close
partnership with the people of the community.
Current
projects are in Cambodia but as the name of the organisation suggests, there
will be future projects in other places around the world.
Through
a preventative
approach, our vigilance and the support of specialized
in-country partners, Hands Across the World (HATW) creates as safe learning environment to lead communities
into a sustainable, happy and healthy future to stand up against human
trafficking, sexual exploitation and forced labour.
