Acerca de

The International Association for Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research (HPCR International) is a Brussels-based nonprofit organization established in December 2005, with an operational presence in Geneva and New York. The Association develops information management tools for humanitarian crises, with a particular focus on information resources and professional trainings. Its work serves the humanitarian and peacebuilding communities, including international agencies, governments, and non- governmental organizations.

The Peacebuilding Initiative is a project of HPCR International, in partnership with the United Nations Peacebuilding Support Office and in cooperation with the Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research (HPCR) at Harvard University. The Initiative, based in New York, aims to enhance the work of practitioners and policy makers engaged in peacebuilding activities by clustering and transmitting information, sharing knowledge within the peacebuilding community, facilitating dialogue on key dilemmas, and providing timely policy materials. Through the development of interactive information platforms, or portals, on both country-specific topics and broader thematic areas, professionals can exploit knowledge and experience, manage a growing flow of information on the various dynamics and actors at play, and ensure informed policy responses.
