First Church Mission Statement,

The mission of First Church is to become more Christ-like through the grace of God our Father, the forgiveness of Jesus Christ, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. As a New Testament community of believers, we seek to respond to our neighbors needs in a non-judgment manner with love, as ministers doing God’s will, so that others will experience the love of God, the warmth of our fellowship and the joy of salvation through Christ.

The Vision Statement of the First Church of the Brethren “is committed, in faith, to be a hands-on congregation, actively engaging in:

1. Equipping the believers in the Word of God, pursuing the lost and embracing all people.
2. Ministering to the needs of families, neighbors and charitable organizations in our community.
3. Teaching and explaining our Brethren tradition in love and humble service. ‘No creed but Christ.’
4. Welcoming every child of God in His House, regardless of culture, gender, age, religious background, sexual orientation, addiction, disease and personal strengths and weaknesses.
5. Teaching the unchanging authority of God and the Bible without compromise.
6. Demonstrating open-heartedness in our search for truth and understanding through the guidance of His indelible Holy Spirit.
