Phimai Wittaya School

The Phimai Wittaya school is a local school situated in Phimai district, Nakhon Ratchasima (sometimes known as Korat) province in Isan (North East Thailand). We educate more than 3 500 students, from Year 7 (age 12) to Year 12 (age 18). Its mission is to provide formal education to students from all around this rural district. Phimai is a small, peaceful but active town, 3.5 hours northeast of Bangkok surrounded by Rice Paddies and Salt marshes. Our school is located close to the oldest and largest Khmer dynasty temple in Thailand, Prasat Hin Phimai, which is a popular destination for Thai tourists and the more intrepid Backpapers from abroad.
