THE ONE LESS FOUNDATION

The One Less Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance, through financial education and one-on-one mentoring, to under-served individuals and families that allow them to gain the skills necessary to lift themselves out of poverty. One Less believes that every person is of great worth and deserves to be treated with respect, compassion and dignity; regardless of race, sex, age, religious beliefs or sexual orientation. We value and strive to teach:

Founded in 2012, The One Less Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization that provides a six-week program of financial literacy classes focusing on:

• Personal budgeting
• Savings and basic financial planning
• The responsible use and accumulation of credit and debt
• Providing real life experience to put into action new skills that will lead to responsible money management

We also focus on providing individualized life coaching and mentoring programs to help with:

• Obtaining additional education and training
• Gaining sufficient employment
• Planning for the future by setting goals and learning essential skills for personal growth and development

At One Less, we realize that those in poverty often need to learn additional life skills to build the foundation for a pathway out of poverty. The One Less Foundation provides services for young adult and adult members of the community and accepts referrals from community groups and local government agencies.
